The Bridle Path is part of the City of Toronto, so building permits go through Toronto Building's North York district under the Ontario Building Code and Zoning By-law 569-2013. On lots this size that is only the start. Because most properties back onto the Don Valley or Wilket Creek, work near the slope falls under the city's Ravine and Natural Feature Protection by-law, Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 658, and you need a ravine permit to change grade, remove a tree or build inside the protected area. Toronto and Region Conservation Authority review often applies on top of that. We line up the arborist report, the tree protection plan and the conservation sign-off before the drawings are finalized, because that is the approval that quietly costs people a season.

We recently completed an extensive renovation with Reno Wow, including our kitchen and master bathroom now turned into our master spa. They are knowledgeable, responsive, and trustworthy.
